The Community Food Security and Nutrition Program (2013-2016), is run by Nepali NGO Shanti Nepal (www.shantinepal.org.np) with funding from MCC/CFGB. It works with remote and marginalized communities of the Chepang ethnic group, with a focus on women and children. Activities include child growth monitoring, nutrition education, and training in agriculture and income generation. The project involves 10,500 Chepang people from 1,299 households in the communities of Jogimara, Dhusa, Mahadevsthan, Benighat, Gajuri and Pida located in the southern part of Dhading District, in central Nepal.
