Improving Mother & Child Nutrition

by MCC Nepal Food Security

MCC/CFGB is partnering with Nepali non-profit Rural Institute for Community Development (ricod.org.np) for a three year project to address malnutrition among the poorest residents of Tamang ethnic group villages in rural south Lalitpur District with special emphasis on pregnant/lactating women and children under age five. The project involves training in kitchen gardening, nutrition and health for mothers' groups, supporting nutritious lunches at early childhood development centres, and providing immediate food assistance to families in crisis.
1,300 people will directly benefit from the project.
