Well if that ain't a fine howdoyado...
The image that had originally held this spot was a photograph I'd taken of the proof sheet that I was sooooo excited to pick up today, the first roll of medium-format film I'd shot two days ago when I took out my new CPM auction win, a Yashica-C twin lens box camera, for a play date with Dakgirl1.
I had written about how frustrated I have been with myself for having misplaced the power cord to my scanner after rearranging my living room a month ago and how much I wanted to be able to scan. There was much grring, gnashing of teeth, wailing and moaning and a couple of dramatic hand to the forehead poses. Really, it was ugly. You didn't miss anything remotely worthwhile.
In the meantime, I've been on the phone with multiple computer repair shops trying to find a used power cord for the printer/scanner (two potential leads, nothing solid so far) when something one of the reps said sparked an idea in me to check my surge protector to see if by complete happenstance I might not have misplaced the cord after all.
Hahaha, I'm such a goof ... one end of the power cord was indeed plugged into the surge protector and the other end was laying in a twisted pile. D'oh!!
Long story short: the scanner/printer is again functional, the cord was never gone, and I am such a happy exhausted camper that I think I'll have to take a nap to recover.
