McBeth
Mr. and Mrs. Cake Topper
My grandmother Audrey (Sharp) Rognlien on the day of her marriage to my grandfather Elmer Norman Rognlien in 1942. My scandalous cradle-robbing grandpa fell in love with grandma, who was 15 years his junior, most certainly causing a collective rural gasp at the farm feed store in Decorah, IA. But love is love and it remained consistent until my grandmother's untimely death and beyond, until my grandfather's death in his early 90s.
To my grandmother's right: Mary "Boop" Malanaphy (my mother thinks the surname is correct). To my grandfather's left: Curtis Marlow. Boop and Curtis stood up for them at the wedding.
