Here's the way Laura does it with her three girls: Quickly. In a semi-circle, with great patience and good humor, but very quickly.

 

They were in town for the day, visiting a mutual friend and I came to appreciate the time and effort it takes to do the packing/traveling/feeding/planning for a family of five (including three 9 monthers). Mom and Dad rock.
