STRAIT OF GIBRALTAR (June 26, 2024) An AV-8B Harrier assigned to the “Blue Knights” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 365 (Reinforced), awaits its next operation secured to the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) as it transits the Strait of Gibraltar, June 26, 2024. Wasp is conducting operations in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations as the flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC). The WSP ARG-24th MEU (SOC) supports high-end warfighting exercises, while demonstrating speed and agility, operating in a dynamic security environment.
