VMGR-252 conducts operations in East Africa

A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 266 (VMM-), maneuvers into position to receive fuel from a U.S. Marine Corps KC-130J Super Hercules, assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 (VMGR-252), over East Africa Nov. 1, 2022 during a tiltrotor air-to-air refueling training. The refueling unit is deployed from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, and supports the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa by providing aerial refueling, airdrop and rescue capabilities to the area of operations.
