PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 17, 2020) An MV-22B Osprey assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 (Reinforced) prepares to take off from the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America, lead ship of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to maintain security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
