CH-53E deck certs
CORAL SEA (Aug. 18, 2017) Aviation Boatswains Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Tiffanie Allenderriley signals a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter assigned to the ㄲagons䠯f Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced), to land on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) during a certification exercise (CERTEX). During the CERTEX, the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) will be evaluated on crisis response operations for a number of potential contingencies. CERTEX is taking place off the coast and within Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Australia, and will test the MEUⳠability to conduct all of its core missions such as stability operations, non-combatant evacuation and disaster relief.
