PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 18, 2016) - A UH-1 Huey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced) takes off from the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) during flight operations. Somerset is on its maiden deployment as part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, in support of the Navyâs maritime strategy in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of responsibility.
