Woodlawn Manor Cultural Parks’ Juneteenth Weekend
Saturday June 18, 2022 to Sunday June 19, 2022 Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park

Celebrate Juneteenth, a commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States, at Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park. Take advantage of free museum admission Saturday and Sunday. A guided hike will be offered on Saturday. Free children’s take-home activities will be available at the Visitor Center on Saturday and Sunday.



Guided Hike on Underground Railroad Experience Trail:

Appropriate for ages 7 and up.

Underground Railroad Experience Trail Hike starts at 10 am on Saturday, June 18. Program lasts an hour and a half hours covering approximately 2 miles of natural surface wooded trails. Woodlawn Museum admission included.

Admission: $8 per person. Advance registration recommended by 12 pm day before hike. www.ActiveMontgomery.org. Limited day of tickets available at the Visitor Center.



Before She Was Harriet Take-Home Activities:

Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park and the Noyes Children’s Library Foundation present Before She Was Harriet – a story about young Harriet Tubman to celebrate her bicentennial. Families can read this inspiring book on panels placed on the historic grounds of Woodlawn Manor. Explore the StoryWalk® and pick up a children’s take-home activity in the Visitor Center from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, June 18 and from 12pm to 4pm on Sunday, June 19. Activities available while supplies last.
