Parks Playhouse: An Evening of Spoken Word

Enjoy an Evening of Spoken Word on the lawn of the Josiah Henson Museum & Park as local artists use their work to put a spotlight on the African American experience. With long-time spoken word artist Donney Rose as emcee and performer, local talents Unique Robinson and Wordsmith will perform their original work on stage. Make sure to stick around after the performances, for an artist Q&A!

This free event begins at 6:00 pm with food and beverage for purchase from local vendor Girl on the Vine. Before the show starts, be sure to visit the exhibits of the Josiah Henson Museum – open from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The performance begins at 7:00 pm and guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets for viewing.
