Worldwide, many animal species are experiencing increasing threats to their long-term viability. Zoo conservationists hope captive breeding programs are a way to maintain genetic diversity and stave off extinction. Informative and entertaining animal keeper, Denny Charlton, will provide an insider’s look into the amazing world of personalized and in-depth species management programs at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and how these efforts contribute to conservation of species globally.
