The Yellow Mountains are a photographic paradise where you can spend days exploring. The weather keeps changing, offering opportunities to capture images that convey very different sensations. The West Sea Canyon is one of the most fascinating places, with a loop trail that leads to several viewpoints where there are very few people, since the path is not for everyone. The loop reveals a dramatic landscape of sheer granite cliffs and rugged peaks, with dense clusters of ancient pine trees clinging to the rock faces. I took this image on our second day in the mountains: when we woke up, we were surrounded by dense fog, which slowly lifted, leaving behind a mist that created the perfect background for a black and white landscape.

Il tempo cambia continuamente, offrendo l’opportunità di catturare immagini capaci di trasmettere sensazioni molto diverse. Il West Sea Canyon è uno dei luoghi più affascinanti, con un sentiero ad anello che conduce a diversi punti panoramici, spesso poco frequentati perché il percorso non è adatto a tutti. L’anello rivela un paesaggio drammatico, fatto di scogliere di granito a picco e di cime frastagliate, con densi gruppi di antichi pini che si aggrappano alle pareti rocciose. Ho scattato questa immagine durante il nostro secondo giorno di visita: al risveglio eravamo circondati da una fitta nebbia, che lentamente si è diradata lasciando un velo sottile, lo sfondo perfetto per un paesaggio in bianco e nero.
