185.365 : I'm singing in the rain...
....and splaaaaashing in the rain!
It absolutely bucketed it down this afternoon (After a rather warm and glorious morning too!).
Well, as soon as the thunder started, I unplugged my PC and other electricals and went and stood by the front door to watch the storm. I took my camera with the thought of *maybe* capturing some lightning.
Then the children stood with me, and I said "Come on, lets go play in the rain!" they grabbed shoes, wellies and macs, and we went outside for a good run around and some splashes in the puddles. They loved it, and we got absolutely soaked right through.
I think we as parents these days are too quick to worry about illnesses and as a result are overprotective of our children. I try and let mine get muddy, mucky (outside the house of course!), and getting wet for a bit isn't going to harm them :)
