Autumn of the Elder

The Hoh Rainforest always is a place where magic can be found. In summer the trails can be mobbed by visitors taking in this special place. I found visiting during the quieter autumn months allowed for a more contemplative experience. This lichen adorned maple tree stood out as a unique and stunning example of what the Hoh can be in fall.
