LEGO: Bayer I. juli 2010 test strike

LEGO Bayers or Bayer test strikes are 2x4 bricks made by Bayer Germany for the LEGO group.

These were made to test new plastics and better grip of the bricks.

Original LEGO 2x4 molds were used from LEGO.

Part of my Bayer collection on juli the 16th 2010. All bricks that do not fall in the A,B,C,D collection or I only have one of them. A good oversight of which Bayers exist. All the older ones are with Pat.Pend, the newer ones mostly have a number on the bottom.

LEGO Bayer bricks letters?

The A, B, C or D letters stand for the grip of the brick, so A comes loose with minimal effort, D only comes of by applying brute force. LEGO settled for C-grip. So the multiple C's stand for the new grip, the C-standard. Other letters have been found, like E and F, still not sure what they stand for..... But check out my pictures of the rest of my collection of Bayer test bricks, they come in lovely colors:)
