never mind the sex pistols, here's our bollards

a gorgeous soft-light midwinter's morning in wellington. the sun took it's time, languidly teasing at the clouds for hours, before finally burning them away around midday.

This view taken from beside the Interisland Ferry terminal at Aotea Quay. That's Oriental Bay in the background (across the harbour), and Roseneath on the hill above. both in the ritziest categories of any local real-estate catalogue.

pacific faithful (lloyds no. 9123099, voyage no. PFL0010) loads off at aotea quay berth 5.

the stevedores certainly don't mess around; pacific faithful docked less than two hours earlier. she departed 17hr after arrival. wellington harbour is a very different place to the one I encountered as a school-leaver in the mid-80's.
