Lees Tug 2
This is the Lees variant of the tug.
Titan Plant Services of Seaview, Wellington, manufactured seven "Titan Tugs" for use in loading and unloading of transport trailers at the inter-island ferry terminals at wellington and picton, around 1993. Not unlike the sky-tugs found at airports, these tugs are on a smaller scale, designed for excellent manouverability within the confines of a ro-ro ferry hold. These days they appear a little worse for wear; I'm not sure if they're still in use.
take a look through look through the 'introducing the titan tug' set , you'll find a number of views, including a couple of panoramas depicting the cramped drivers cab. In all, a very unusual specialised vehicle. you'll also find a few images of a variant of the tug manufactured by Lees of Tauranga.
