Look Into My Eyes.....
....You are getting sleepy, very sleepy....
I loved the straight on stare of this East African Crowned Crane, seen at the San Diego Safari Park. We were there right as storm clouds blew in, which provided some great diffuse light, even though it was noon. I have other images where I haven't clipped the crown, but the stare won out. Jim and I had a heck of a time photographing this bird. This guy was busy preening and the head would pop up for just a second.
