Monolithic Proportions - Cannon Beach

Haystack Rock from the dunes. At 235 feet tall, it is the 3rd tallest intertidal monolith in the world.

 

All of those white spots in the grass on top of the rock are birds...mostly gulls. You can also see a lot of them flying around above the rock.
