The Laptop Drive Problem

First, a little while ago, my laptop would not start.. It was a hard drive problem, but at least the drive wasn't toast... it was some kind of a directory problem.. but alas I don't have the tools to fix the problem....

 

When I bought my Mac Book.. my plan was to quickly go out and buy a new drive for it.. because the drive that came with it.. was way too small for me.

 

Well.. I ended up dragging my feet a little bit.. and so installed some software and whatever else.. before finally replacing the drive.

 

I kept the old drive in one of these anti static bag things.. and that's the good news.. that when this drive problem hit I was able to swap drives..

 

Only problem is... the old drive has not a lot of space.. the software installed on it is obsolete or no longer authorized... and... the disk drive on the laptop doesn't work.. making software instillation a bit of a pain
