SATA Desktop and Laptop Drive Adventures

What we see here is a not quite working laptop hard drive, and a toasted desktop drive...

 

This.. plus a little device that allows me to easily connect these drives to any old computer.. for the purposes of trouble shooting, data recovery, fixing, or whatever.

 

But alas.. no data was recovered... and so.. life for me is not what it once was..
