Upright

There's something about trees which attracts my eye. Especially when they're bare of leaves like this one.

 

I was walking through a path in the grounds around Lake Sanchris near Edinburg, Illinois, when this one tree captured my attention.

 

I took one photo, then stepped back a couple of feet and grabbed this one.

 

I like the one branch which seems to be reaching out from the bottom of the trunk.

 

Against the blue sky, with the green shrub growth below, I'm reminded that it is time for new life to appear. The early harbinger of the Spring season abound, with the trees lagging behind just a bit.
