Fire-scarred trees on Throop Peak, Mt. Baldy in the distance, Angeles National Forest

10'064' Mt. Baldy (or, more appropriately, Mt. San Antonio) is the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains and Los Angeles County.

 

The fire-scarred trees in the foreground are leftover from the Curve Fire of 2002.
