Arbor Low henge and circle
Step back in time. Arbor Low stone circle, in the Derbyshire Peak District. Although the site was added to in the Bronze Age, the henge itself was built around 2500 BCE. It consists of a circular bank, 76 metres in diameter and 2 metres high, with inside it a ditch about 1.5 metres deep enclosing a circular central 'sanctuary' area.
