Countdown River Crossing

The final few arches of the Midland Railway's Ivanhoe Line crossing the River Trent at Burton, leading into Stapenhill. The railway was built to access the South Derbyshire and Leicestershire coalfields, as well as the numerous quarries. Only one train a day is now routinely booked to cross this bridge in the one direction only, 6M83 the 1051 Tinsley Yard to Bardon Hill - 19/07/2016
