Testing… one, two, three
This year will mark the start of a dazzling light show that will last two years, compliments of a New York artist who, along with his team is setting up 25,000 LED's on the suspension cables over the western span that will be controlled in various ways to create dazzling illumination effects. The lights will not officially go on display until March, but a night ago they were doing some tests, and I'll tell you right now… it was a lot of fun to watch.
Here is a photographic representation of what I saw… but in reality it was something altogether different. Imagine a shimmering waterfall coming down…made out of lights. That's what I was watching and all the artist renderings of what this will look like completely dimmed in comparison.
