The Psychedelic Cave
I don't really know if this thing in Rock City on Mount Diablo is a cave, a tunnel, or an arch… the thing is, is that in real life it is far from psychedelic. Pretty much just plain limestone.
This is an HDR image, and when I started tone mapping, these colors showed up, and I thought "whoa! cool!" and went with it.
I really like Rock City a lot except for all the graffiti. It's too bad… they are kind of a wonder when you walk around them, but the signs of humanity are all over them.
I'm just glad this doesn't happen in the Alabama Hills over in the Eastern Sierras.
