Trail through the Sumacs

Location: Riveredge Nature Center, Newburg, WI

 

I took a path I do not normally take to find this trail through a group of Staghorn Sumac trees. The shadow is from a more heavily wooded area that I'm exiting. The Sumacs are pretty neat looking trees all year round, but in the fall they become red, which is just starting to show.
