Cinnamon Ferns - Osmundastrum cinnamomeum

Location: Riveredge Nature Center, Newburg, Wisconsin

 

It's easy to see where these ferns get their name. The spore bearing fronds look like they're covered in cinnamon. Something tells me they don't taste as good though.
