Long Reef Reflections

I've been stinging for a local Sydney seascape shoot for a few weeks now, however with Christmas fast approaching I've always seemed to have had commitments getting in the way. This morning I ventured down to Long Reef with Ken and Nick, a place I'd only been to once previously to shoot (and that time came away with nothing).

We were presented with a beautiful morning and really warm weather. The sky didn't explode with colour, but there was decent magentas coming through as the sun rose (not captured in this image - more to come). King tides were forecast today, however at sunrise the tide was still low enough to get these cool reflections in the rock shelf. That said it was quite obvious by the end of the shoot that the tide was rising fast. For those heading out to the beaches, be careful and take it easy.
