The drive train first introduced with FCT-30 and used from then on out had completely forsaken a sprocket and instead used maglev strips to completely eliminate friction of the tracks from the chassis. The use of a series of electro-magnetic bars in place of a sprocket provided significantly more torque and acceleration. Due to this change, the entire model line was renamed to "Fast Conventional Tank" from the previous "Light" designation. Though the armor was only enough to withstand heavy infantry fire, these tanks became instrumental in Anti-tank tactics once armor piercing shells were introduce as they could run circles around the heavier of the Coalition's tanks.
