Hidden Iridescence

After stacking these photos and making adjustments to bring back the details in the clouds (the brightest highlights of the clouds nearly painted the sky white from stacking so many photos) I noticed all kinds of colours appearing. The yellow-orange clouds near the horizon were always visible, but the pinks and greens above them were very subtle before I darkened the highlights. The colours are from cloud iridescence - "diffraction caused by small water droplets or small ice crystals individually scattering light" It's similar to oil in a puddle or white light through a prism.

I made this image by combining 918 photos.
