Truk Lagoon

Truk (or more properly, Chuuk) is a lagoon in the central Pacific, part of the nation of Micronesia. It was one of Japan's largest naval bases during WW II.

In Feb 1944, the U.S. Navy conducted a series of air strikes on Truk, sending a number of merchant marine ships to the bottom. Now, these ships make Truk the best location for wreck diving in the world. And of course, being a WW II and diving buff, I had to try it!
