THE WOLLANGAMBIE WILDERNESS

by matt burman

(For Janette and all her incredible past pursuits! Heads up NettyA!)

These shots are by far, no attempt in graphic photography but more so an attempt (with little time!) to share the wonderful wilderness area of the Wollangambie River. Situated just west of Mt Wilson in the Blue Mountains National Park, the Wollangambie River winds it's way deep into the Wollemi National Park crossing its path with the Capertee River, along with a few others. To get lost along the river further downstream being niave and unskilled in bush survival, you may likely perish in the expanse of the Wollemi National Park! Being so overwhelmingly BIG!
One wetsuit.
One Inflatable big, Ass Doghnut.
1 * small inflatable boat for gear.
1 * waterproof bag for equipment.
1 * wetsuit.
1* long day!
So little time!
food, beverages and knowhow.
All this culminate into the shots you are viewing. It is truly a very special place to spend time in! The walk in is easy. The walk out with wet gear is very hard! I will plan to spend a few days camping down here for some better shots soon when the right time arises. SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! ENJOY!
