Holga infrared

by Matt Brock ☀

The first nine photos from my exploration of infrared on a Holga are taken using a Hoya R72 filter with Ilford SFX. SFX is a monochrome film with 'extended red sensitivity' and is not as extreme as other infrared-capable films, so the results vary from slightly unusual-looking monochrome to pretty much full-blown infrared.

I've learnt that a tripod is definitely necessary for infrared film photography, even on very sunny days, but the resulting blur from long exposure times with hand-held photography is nice sometimes, even though it's not really intentional.
