Eisenbach castle
Das Schloss Eisenbach befindet sich südlich der Stadt Lauterbach. Seit dem Hochmittelalter, mindestens dem 11. oder 12. Jahrhundert thront die Anlage an exponierter Stelle über dem Eisenbach, der ihr auch den Namen verlieh. Im laufe der Jahrhunderte wurde das Schloss zerstört und wieder aufgebaut, sowie Um- und Teile Angebaut. Sodass der heutige Komplex über Bauteile vom 13. bis ins 19. Jahrhundert verfügt.
Eisenbach Castle is located south of the town of Lauterbach. Since the High Middle Ages, at least the 11th or 12th century, the complex has stood in a prominent position above the Eisenbach stream, which also gave it its name. Over the centuries, the castle was destroyed and rebuilt, as well as modified and partially added to. The current complex includes elements dating from the 13th to the 19th century.
