Die Deutsche Luftwaffe mustert Ende 2021 die Transportmaschinen Transall C-160 aus, aus diesem Anlass erhielt 50+40 eine Sonderlackierung und befindet sich nun auf einer Abschiedstour durch Deutschland. Ich konnte die Maschine gestern am Hamburger Airport, wo sie 3 Überflüge machte bevor sie landete, aufnehmen. Leider hatte ich mich für den Abflug an der falschen Bahn positioniert, so dass ich die Maschine nur von dieser Seite so gut aufs Bild bekam. Hier gibt es ein Bild von der anderen Seite:

Mit der Ausmusterung der Transall C-160 wird auch das Lufttransportgeschwader 63 in Rendsburg/Hohn aufgelöst. Sämtliche Lufttransportaufgaben übernimmt dann das Lufttransportgeschwader 62 in Wunstorf bei Hannover mit seinen A400M.
The German Air Force will decommission the Transall C-160 transport aircraft at the end of 2021, on this occasion 50 + 40 received a special paint job and is now on a farewell tour through Germany. I was able to record the machine yesterday at Hamburg Airport, where it made 3 overflights before it landed. Unfortunately, I had positioned myself on the wrong runway for take-off, so that I only got a good picture of the plane from this side. With the retirement of the Transall C-160, the Air Transport Wing 63 in Rendsburg / Hohn will also be disbanded. Air transport squadron 62 in Wunstorf near Hanover with its A400M then takes over all air transport tasks.
