Studio Desk
Just revamped my “studio desk”. It’s really a 7-foot UpliftDesk sit/stand desk that I have customized by adding a floating shelf, and stacking 19” rack cases (from AudioRax) on that.
Left-hand case holds a Doepfer A-155/A-154/A-160-5 sequencer setup. Right-hand case holds a Samson patchbay and Behringer XR12 mixer. Center case is currently unpopulated.
Synths are an MS-20 Mini, a custom modular setup in an Intellijel 104hp/7U case, and a Waldorf KB-37 containing a Behringer Pro-1, and Mutable Instruments Clouds. Above is a Behringer 2600, which kind-of started the whole desk re-do (which was a long time coming!).
Gator clamp-on monitor stands helped free desktop space, while still keeping everything integrated to the desk such that the speakers are at the correct height regardless of whether I’m sitting or standing.
Cable management is beneath, and extensive enough that there are just two power cables going to the UPS on the floor, and those are joined in a sleeve, which makes it all quite neat
The whole thing is on casters and by unplugging the two cables from the UPS can be wheeled around with ease (well, if the rug didn’t interfere!).
