Maternity Masters drawing
I don't often get inspired the way I was this morning by Gosia Janik's work. I saw this photo treatment she had done:

...and I was floored.
I gave it my own attempt to evoke a the same sort of master's style. It was a fascinating excercise, reminding me of all the things I love about drawing.
It was facsinating working to introduce many of the perceptual choices one makes when drawing, but do not exist directly in a photograph.
While the image above does not have quite the elegance of Gosia's work, I am still pleased and looking forward to trying this sort of process again.
