Joel Brown's Journey
Laura Brown hooks up her son's total parenteral nutrition (TPN) tube inside of their Mason home on April 8. Joel was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on June 11, 2008, underwent intense treatment and chemotherapy, and then relapsed in October 2010. After a week of total body irradiation and chemo to kill off Joel's bone marrow, his sister's cells were harvested, processed and infused into Joel during a bone marrow transplant on February 1. To this day Joel continues to recover nicely. Provided/ Laura Brown
