This was the Association House

On North Ave, just west of Damen. My youth was spent at Holstein Park, but this building provided a lot of activities for the Wicker Park kids (and adults, too). Back in the late '40's and '50's my wife and her older brother would go here to use the gym. Outside the building was playground in back and a baseball field to the east where the apartment building now stands.
