211 West Wacker Drive
Many Chicagoans are too young to remember when this building was home to the Chicago Sun-Times. The pressroom was deep in the bowels and the shipping docks were on lower Wacker Drive. I am very familiar with this building as my father drove a Sun-Times truck and I would frequently go with him on his overnight runs in summer when school was out. What a treat for a ten-year-old! The "new" old Sun-Times building on the north bank of the river, that was torn down to build the Trump Tower, was built in 1957 to replace this building. This one still stands and its replacement is history.
