Charleston Street Bucktown-Then
Many years ago, this was my paternal grandmother's house. I was born in the basement apartment. It used to be a two-flat; the stairway and front door to the upstairs flat was just right of where I am standing. The red face brick has been painted blue for some reason. No wrought iron fence back then, we never even locked our doors!
