Shakespeare and Hoyne-Bucktown
Years ago this building, on the northeast corner, housed the neighborhood hardware store. The floors were creaking old wood, the aisles were narrow and you bought nails by the pound. The owner would weigh your nails and put them in a brown bag. The store always seemed to smell of "3-in-1" oil.
