St. Hedwig-Bucktown
Catholic church at 2100 W. Webster Av. As a kid I didn't know anyone who didn't go to this church. They held a fabulous carnival every summer in the courtyard, complete with a Ferris Wheel, Merry-Go-Round and, of course, Bingo. The grand prize in the raffle always seemed to be a Ford station wagon.
Architect: Adolphus Druiding. Completed in 1901.
