Class 85 85009 - Preston Station.
A view looking North East from underneath Fishergate bridge at Preston station on September 11th 1980. Class 85 85009 was stabled on the 'Bakehouse' Siding which continued underneath the bridge into a small enclosed bay platform. The view across the running lines shows the now-removed sidings at Ladywell House (Dock Street), the Penwortham By-Pass extension road now runs through the site. Visible in the sidings are a Class 47, the Preston Division General Managers Inspection Saloon in blue/grey, an ex LMS Ventilated Van in bauxite and on the right, an ex GWR Toad Brake Van in Departmental Olive Green livery.
