London's Lost Terminus. A pair of Class 501 three-car sets were stabled at very run-down looking Broad Street on October 20th 1978. Driving Motor Brake Second M75150 is the nearest car. The Class 501 fleet consisted of 57 x 3-Car units on short 57ft underframes and were built at Eastleigh between 1956/57 for use between Euston - Watford and Broad Street - Richmond DC Lines workings. They were replaced by Class 313's in 1985. The terminus at Broad Street was opened by the North London Railway in 1865. When most of the structure was demolished in November 1985, one single open-air platform was retained until June 1986 when all railway activity ceased here. The station site was prime real-estate in the heart of the City of London.
