Class 502 Driving Trailer Second M29892M was stabled under the roof at Liverpool Exchange on Saturday 9th April 1977. Just three weeks after this was taken, all this was history, the station closing on Friday April 29th. Visible on the right are some of the contractors huts on the site of platforms 8, 9 & 10. This was a base for the constuction of the new link line which would eventually make Exchange redundant. A new underground station would open at Moorfields, situated close-by.
